We started with a banner that shared benefits for the customers
Showing potential customers right away the benefits for shopping at a store makes it much more likely that a customer will shop at said store. To add value to our client’s eBay storefront we added a section showing the payment methods offered and a few facts about the store to make them appealing to new customers like their fast shipping and pristine packaging to protect their rare items.
Sharing value added to customers is really important in design work because it helps create more customers for our clients. Customers need to feel trust in the stores they are interested in and this does exactly that.
Then we created categories and widgets to encourage browsing and increase the average shopping cart size
In the middle of the page we added clickable photo categories and to the left we added categories and images sharing their accreditations. Adding your categories in a visually appealing page encourages customers to browse more around the store, which in turn generally yields increased shopping cart totals. These little details increase sales for our clients as well as their search engine impressions. The more categories available for search engines the categorize, the higher you can come up in search results.
Adding well designed category pages and listing pages also make a significant difference in sales.
If an eBay customer is searching for rare coins and finds out client, they’ll see a put-together store in the further details area. This tells potential customers that their business is being taken seriously and that they are not looking at a random person selling some coins found in their attic, making them feel safer in their purchase and also encouraging them to check out more items in our client’s store.
